Such a Beautiful Sight

We had our first taste of summer in New England - reaching well into the 80's both Saturday and Sunday. Sadie's cold has subsided for now, just a little bit of a cough left over - and the respiratory-caused conjunctivitis cleared up. Now we are just contending with some nasty eczema on her cheeks (a lousy trait inherited from her mama and grandma).

Sadie also rolled over for the first time today - from her stomach to her back. She did it twice and loved the praise she got for completing the task. We're going to have to move her to her crib (out of the bassinett) in another week or so. She has only about 3 inches of legroom left. It'll be a big day for her, but sad day for mom and dad who don't want to let her go quite yet.

Conjunction Junction...What's Your Function?

Poor baby can't catch a break. We have another cold (cough and congestion) - PLUS conjunctivitis. I just want her to live in a bubble already. The cure all...we did a lot of snuggling this weekend. She's such a trooper though, in such a good mood.

Last Wednesday Sadie also laughed out loud for the first time. Dad was pulling her onsie on and off her head, which is known to cause fits of laughter.

A Real Life Kid

Seems we have a genuine kid on our hands...

Sadie and I went to TJMaxx tonight and we ended up picking up a Merry Monkey activity mat. We came home and set it up right away. Unfortunately Sadie was more entertained by me fanning her with the big piece of cardboard it came with.

Happy Easter!

Sadie had a great first Easter! She got all decked out in her little dress and maryjane tights (thanks MB!), and we went for brunch in Sturbridge with Grandma and Pepere - then stopped off at Nana and Pop-Pop's for a hello. She's really overtired now...seeing she's been up since 4am.

Good first holiday all around...she's already looking forward to the next.

Who Takes Pictures at Lowes?

We do! Sadie is going to hate us (and the camera) by the time she reaches 18. We are just trying to groom her to be on America's Next Top Model. Maybe they'll have a baby version soon. She'd so win...

Uno, Dos, Tres!

Today is Sadie's three month birthday! She's celebrating by way of a growth spurt - which means a cranky baby who eats constantly. Sadie will be spending the afternoon with Nana and her 5 year old cousin Deirdre, while mom and dad try to finish painting the family room and do some spring cleaning.

To pay homage to Red Sox opening day on Monday, she's sporting her Ortiz jersey.

Our Little Fool

Sadie thinks she's a funny girl when she sits on top of the fridge. Dad holds her up there and spins the ceiling fan, while Sadie's eyes bug out. It's become quite a baby soother.

Sadie was cleared by the doctor to return to daycare today. She has tiny cough still, but is doing so much better. Sadie: 1; Virus: 0.
