With her Little Swimmers diaper on (I don't understand the physics of how anything stays in there - but this time around was accident free!) we ventured into the pool. Thankfully it was a 90-degree day, but the shock of the cold water gave Sadie some serious reservations. After 4 minutes or so, she was loving it and kicking legs. Darah had a baby float, which was perfect - she fit in it just right and it gave her something to cling to. We motor-boated around the pool for about 15 minutes before we started to see the tell-tale pinkness of a burn on her arms (and that was with 50+ slathered on).

We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon under shade, playing on a towel and snacking on pear puree. A dragonfly joined the party on Sadie's head for a bit too.

It must have been Godmother week in Massachusetts - because aside from our visit with Darah, my Godmother Teresa was in town from New Mexico. I hadn't seen her since our wedding, so meeting Sadie was a bonus.
