Home Bodies

The summer has vanished before our eyes; August seriously feels like it was only 5 days long. We've been so busy with work, travel for work, a few random vacation days scattered in, and lots of home improvements. This year, actually, has been the most productive since first moving into Dorset Road. Most recently we've purchased a shed, re-paved and widened our driveway, installed an invisible fence for Maggie and had a brick walkway laid. Today alone was a powerhouse 8 hours of tearing out ugly bushes, replanting beautiful hydrenga, black-eyed susans, my monet, and other spectacular species. It all looks amazing.

During my shopping spree at Weston Nurseries, I spotted this little moo-cow watering can in the window and could not leave without it. Sadie got a kick out of the big watering can a few weeks ago, but couldn't manage its bulk. This was the perfect size. The plants may not have gotten a sip of water, but the dirt sure was drinking it in!

And speaking of new homes, our friends the Roy's moved to Holliston this weekend. It's nice to have some fellow townies (even though they were only 15 mins away before). We stopped by this evening to check out the new digs and eat some cake with Lilah for her 2nd birthday. Miss Impatient Foster got her mitts on the first piece then tried to eat off of other people's plates (see the poor b'day girl licking her chops in the background?!). She acts like we never feed her.
