I don't mean to embarrass the poor boy, but his theme song this week is from the old Parenthood movie (before it became a tv series) - that goes "diarrhea, cha-cha-cha". The little bubbs has been sick for 2 and a half weeks now. It started with an upset tummy. He didn't feel like eating, didn't want to take a bottle. Just in a funk. One night he was particularly quiet and I had him hoisted on my hip - one of his favorite places to be. Out of no where Linda Blair unleashed his projectile vomit all over my shoulder, back, stomach, floor. And it was chunky.
This phase continued on and seemed to get better. But them BAM! This time it was pouring from the other end. Constant diaper changes and a bloody rash you read about. This scenario has been going on for just about a week now with seemingly no end in sight.
I was the responsible parent and got him to the doctor who cleared him of any possible strep throat or ear infections. We're told it's a virus that just found a comfy home inside that delicious roll of baby flub and doesn't want to come out quite yet.
Last night we let his bum air out a bit. You could tell he thought there was a new kind of freedom in that kind of nakedness.
