Well another one has joined the club! Sadie's officially wiped of sin and is part of the God Squad.
Today family and friends gathered at St. Mary's in Holliston to witness Sadie become a Catholic. She was one of eight babies, which paired with a long-winded master of ceremonies and hot Church, made for an agonizing ceremony. While all parents involved were doing everything in their power to keep an overtired, hot, hungry baby as happy as possible - the deacon quipped "I see crying babies as speaking in tongues." Hilarious.
After a number of applied ointments, signs of the Cross, and some Holy water on the head (during which the deacon remarked that Sadie was a "knockout with those eyes")...it was official! The group headed back to Dorset Road to have some food and cocktails.
Sadie was a great baby all day, only fussing toward the end of the ceremony from being overheated. She had no problem being passed around and kissed by dozens.
We are so grateful to everyone who made it! And a special thank you to the new Godparents - (mom's cousin) Darah Middleton and (dad's best friend) Dan Demers!
