Barnyard Buds

This weekend was full of animal entertainment of all kinds. On Saturday we took a ride out to Western Mass to visit with family. First stop was at Grandma & Grandpa's...which is a zoo in itself. The llamas are no longer there, but there are still cats, dogs, chickens, ducks and a variety of other small furry creatures in an assortment of cages to peek at. Sadie went out back with Grandpa to see the chickens run around - then visited the 2 horses that live next door.

On our way from Grandma & Grandpa's to Grandma & Pepere's house, we stopped in downtown Easthampton to check out Bear Fest (an ongoing art festival that features differently decorated bears around town). There are 35 total, we stopped to see 3.

The topper was today - a beautiful early fall day with cooler air and full sun. A perfect day for Look Memorial Park in Northampton. It's an amazing park - I only wish there was something similar in close proximity to our house in Holliston. Look Park has everything for kids - a train ride, small zoo, splash park, playgrounds, paddle boats, mini golf, ducks to feed and on and on. Today we took in the sights at the zoo and did some swinging. Perfect family day, perfect way to wrap up the summer.
