Make Way For Sadie

Sadie loves our weekend adventures. She wasn't sure what was in store for us today, but she had an inkling that it'd be fantastic.
We hadn't made a trip to hang out in Boston since last summer and this time around there were new things for our 15 month old to explore. While walking to find a perfect spot to park our blanket, we came across the carousel next to the Frog Pond. We bought a ticket, picked a horse and the music started. She was stunned. She didn't know what to think. Her expression was a mix of loving it and hesitation. I think if given a second spin, she'd be way into it. But alas, we moved on.

The line for the Swan Boats was long, and our baby was quickly becoming tired and hungry. We opted to marvel at them from the shoreline. Gives us an excuse to return for something new this summer.

The flowers in the Public Garden were in full bloom. Tulips of every color looking perfect and well groomed. Kids and babies of all ages were lined up in front of the flowers for their photo op -- however our child kept pulling the petals off. Oops.

Our last stop on the tour was to see Mrs. Mallard and her babies from Make Way for Ducklings. I anticipated Sadie only being mildly interested but she loved them. She gave one a kiss. Kept slinging her leg over to ride them, and was generally enamoured. Classic Sadie moment: she kept stepping in front of one mother's camera, as she tried to get a picture her son, and Sadie would pose with this mega-watt smile. She thinks the world is her personal paparazzi.
