Another milestone and a 3 more attemps of tracking Sadie's progress on the 4th of each month (we are cutting it off at 2 years...don't be disappointed, other blog updates will follow). A few new things I can share:
Monday night we let Sadie sleep with a blanket in her crib for the first time (yes, I'm that over protective mother...). She loves it, cradles it, carries it with her everywhere now. I barely heard her wake up this morning, as she was sobbing into the blanket.
She's expanding her horizons beyond Elmo. She likes to switch it up between Barney, Blue's Clues and Curious George. I should take her to the Curious George store in Harvard Square...hmmm, field trip...
We've started potty training. She's gone a few times, but nothing regular by any means. Right now it's more about getting used to the idea. When the potty was first brought into the house, she only wanted to sit on it - or more like sit on, stand up, sit on, stand up. Luckily some of the fun has worn off. Undressing and redressing her each time she felt like playing on the potty was getting old.
Sadie has started chores, the first feeding the cats and Maggie dinner. She carefully scoops out food and carries it to their respective bowls, so cautious not to drop a pebble. Sometimes she's successful, sometimes not. Sometimes (like last night) she's caught munching on the dog food. Gross, yes, but according to the Rachel Ray brand - it's atleast "nutrish!".
2 years!!! WOW. it kills me how much she looks like Kristin, btw. it's like a tiny little Kristin (with less tattoos) running around.
