Thanksgiving Recap

With "baby" being only 2 weeks away, we wanted a quiet weekend away to relax and enjoy before life gets turned upsidedown again. Grandma and Pep opened their Cape home to us with open arms, and a hot turkey in the oven.

Thanksgiving day was perfect. Almost no-jacket weather, and beautifully sunny. To get some fresh air, we took Sadie down to the bike trail on the canal. She peddled her little legs for almost 2 miles.

On the way back home, we stopped on a little pier that overlooks a pond, filled with geese, ducks and a couple of swans.

Once Friday rolled around, the Aunts came to visit too - which morphed into a family candle pin bowling trip. It was the most fun I've had in awhile. I also loved the fact that the alley had tiny toddler bowling shoes. Cute beyond words.

During the first round, we played normally. Sadie mixed in, assisting everyone with a ball or two. For the most part, her ball would slowly roll into the gutter - but there were 4 or so shots she took that went straight down the middle and killed a bunch of pins. We have a Roy Munson in the making (Kingpin anyone?).
