Old Fashioned Foot Race

We played ballet hookey today. It was pretty awesome. The Wellesley Community Children's Center was having a fun fair and kids race today at Wellesley College. The 4-year old race was going off at 9:20 am, and we weren't going to miss it.

In waves of four, the kids lined up for a 75 yard dash. Sadie's heat seemed a little unfair. The three kids against her were together (friends or cousins or something). The girl was clearly older and was a full head taller. Still, my baby was on that girl's heels and smoked the two other boys in the race.

Blue ribbons all around! We refueled with pancakes and a trip to the library.
