Damsel in Distress

As much fun as this weekend has been, I think the three of us are happy it's complete. Today, in particular, was quite busy. We headed to Middletown, Connecticut to witness Aunties Kristin & Heather exchange lifelong promises. It was a fun red and white themed affair - and Sadie just lives for themes...

And while it was fun to see lots of family and friends, Sadie still can't get the hang of napping on the fly. This all spirals down hill fast into an overstimulated, cranky baby...and cranky babies provide a grating soundtrack. You can start to see the beginning of her demise in these end-of-party photos:

The kicker, however, was when our car completely died 10 minutes from our house. Luckily it was just after we rolled through the toll booth, but still dangerous. We were the yahoos on the side of the road, with baby in tow, waiting for a fleet of tow trucks and family to rescue us!

Sadie totally perked up at this point - "finally something interesting!", she thought to herself. She loves a good drama. The mini-actress even started playing up the role of Moses -basket in the weeds and all. To get her further into the role, we fashioned a makeshift hobo sign for her. Sadie's awaiting her Oscar nod, come February.
