The entire east coast got socked with a traditional nor'easter overnight. Today was a perfect day to be snowed in too, as Sadie's been having some sleep issues - and catching up on Zzzz's on a lazy Sunday is just the ticket.
The ground was bone dry when we all went to bed, so the minute we got up we tossed up the shade to see what nature gave us. As of 8:00 AM there was already 10"...and it's still coming! From the comfort of the indoors, Sadie watched Daddy shovel and the plows zig zag down Dorset Road.
Later on we suited up and headed out for a sleigh ride. All we had for snow gear was a hand-me-down from cousin Deirdre. Worked like a charm, but it was one of those outfits that made her look like a swollen tick. She couldn't move or put her arms down (a la the little brother in a Christmas Story). With all this extra gear she also couldn't hold her head up, so she was catching a lot of snowflakes in the eye. We made it a short but fun trip, parading her in front of the O'Leary's who were shoveling across the street.
