T-Minus Till Toddlerhood

Whoa, one more month to go! The past few weeks I've been having flashbacks to last year - and the weeks leading up to Sadie's arrival. It's been a blink of the eye. Since the paper birthday sign wasn't cutting it, we fashioned a Cheerios box into an 11 that she could hold. At least it wasn't destroyed in .3 seconds.
Eleven Month Stats:

Height: About knee high

Weight: I think we are 20 lbs...time to retire the infant carseat!
Sign: Capricorn

Likes: Throwing all of her food over her right shoulder in the highchair, drinking like a big girl from a cup, American cheese, Cheerios, crackers, spaghetti, chasing cats, playing Peek-a-Boo (playing the role of peeker and peekee), unloading laundry baskets, typing on computers, turning the tv on & off, climbing stairs, car naps, Matt Lauer, doing laps between the kitchen & living room.

Dislikes: Putting her arms/head through clothing, being strapped into the carseat, getting out of the bath, men with beards, the elderly, napping in any way other than a car, diaper changes, nose wipes, when the stroller stops moving, down time, socks.

To celebrate Sadie's 11-monther we had a Mother/Daughter day. A stop to see some work friends, an unsucessful Christmas shopping trip to the mall and a stop at the park. It's been unseasonably warm in New England the last few days. Yesterday reached near 70, and while today was cooler it was still perfect for some outdoor fun.

Since we have the swing in our yard now, it had been months since we ventured to a park. This gave us the perfect opportunity to re-try somethings that she was too young for the first time around. The swing was still a hit - lots of squealing. We tried the catepillar bouncy thing. Her little legs were still too short to adequately straddle. But the slide was tons o' fun! We did both the straight slide and the twisty one. The only draw back...plastic slides = electrically charged hair!
