SandWitch

Sadie and I joined Grandma and Pep for some house hunting in the Cape on Saturday. They are actively looking to buy a place in the Sandwich/Mashpee area...which we are very excited about. We looked at five houses - with only one being a serious possibility. Sadie was so good throughout the day, getting more excited about each next house. She'd bust open the fridge in each one (luckily only one house was occupied). But we promised all along that we'd go see the beach while we were there. And she reminded us of it. Constantly.

So, before heading home we stopped in Falmouth for a bite to eat and a jaunt on the shore. If she could have eaten the beach, she would. She was in her glory. Diving, kicking, rolling in it. Picking up rocks, shells and using dried sea grass to draw in the sand.

When it was time to pile back into the car, she obediently did - but in her own way. She crawled on her hands and knees, taking her time and relishing the squish between her fingers and toes.
