It was a perfect day. We made plans with the doting Aunts to do a little picnicing and swimming. They were kind enough to make the full drive to Holliston so we could go to Lake Winthrop - our little town beach. Not only are we celebrating America's birthday - but it's Sadie's 18 month old landmark!

We recently introducted Sadie to Lake Winthrop, in an effort to make her more comfortable with large bodies of water. It took her about five minutes of hesitation before she was charging in, chest deep, and giving me a heart attack. She didn't want to hold hands, she wanted to do it on her own. I slipped a finger in the back of her shirt for safe keeping. Today, she caught site of that water and was gone. She wanted nothing to do with lunch. Auntie Kristin took her to the shoreline for castle making. Later Dad whipped her in motor boat circles.

Sadie love, love, loved the attention she got today. Four people to play with at any time! Kristin zoomed her around - Sadie had a smile from ear to ear. She was mad, to put it lightly, when they had to say goodbye.

A refreshing bath to finish the day, and we can officially put July 4, 2010 to bed.
