Hotter Than The 4th of July

The Fourth of July fun doesn't stop on July 4th - especially when it falls on a Sunday. We headed out early Monday morning for the Natick parade with the Roy family. It was sweltering by 9:00 AM - I felt particuarly bad for the bands in full gear. Those feathered hats cannot feel good in 90 degrees.

Sadie was in good spirits and clapped and waved with the best of 'em. Lilah chilled in the shade, and Aidan collected as much candy that was tossed his way.

We couldn't last much past an hour or so, it was too much to take. We were all melting away. I acted as everyone's personal Bentley Farnsworth with umbrella shade duty.

Luckily the Roy's live around the corner, so we escaped to solace with AC and pops!

And for anyone keeping tabs on Natick's own Son of Hollywood - Rex Trailer - he made it another year in the parade! He smiled, waved, sang his Boomtown song.
