So Unfair

I've been trying forever to get a barrette or pony tail to stay in Sadie's hair longer than 3 seconds. I think the longest we did was maybe 5 minutes. However, they've been playing dress up at daycare and she's come home with pigtails two days in a row.

I'm in Palm Springs for work, so can't see it for myself - but my heart melted with this photo. If Mimi (daycare's Mary Anne) can get a pigtail to stay in, I'm all for it. But now I know what it feels like when I used to tell my mother that "only Grandma knows how to braid my hair."
