I was standing at the top, Alex was at the bottom, and some where in between Sadie lost her balance. Luckily my high pitched warning scream tipped Alex off to launch in a spring loaded leap to save her from hitting the floor at the bottom. She managed to hit every stair on the way down though - thus her fat lip. She must have told me 6 times tonight about her fall, pointing to the scene of the crime. (I asked her here to show me her battle scars again).
Sadie was over the top excited about her doctor's appointment. We explained how the doctor would look at her ears, eyes, belly... - so as soon as we got there, she dutifully laid down and repeated "ears, eyes, belly". She's in beautiful shape, super healthy, incredibly smart and still our little shrimp.
Current stats:
Weight - 26 lbs (51st percentile)
Height - 32.5 inches (17th percentile)
Likes: Pushing her dolls around (she always says she's "shopping for egg nog"); coloring; Mickey Mouse and his friends; playing in snow/building "Frostys"; helping to cook, clean; singing and dancing; football; drying her hair; hiding and yelling "surprise!"; tattling on the cats and dog; telling us when she's doing something - or about to do something - bad.
Dislikes: Still not a fan of washing hair, but at least it's not a total breakdown any longer; naptime; cottage cheese; Maggie in her personal space; being told NO.
What's New: She's been using the potty for a few months now, but only before bath time. She's pretty good at it. The fashionista has opinions on what she wears. The most horrible habit...she can open the fridge. Ugh!
