Some Perspective

I think we've had between 60 - 70 inches of snow so far this winter, all coming in large batches every 4 or 5 days. Thursday's storm was supposed to carry only 8", we woke up to 14". Couldn't even open our front door.

The snow banks have gotten so high on both sides of the driveway that it's impossible to shovel. There's just no where to put the snow. I'll lift and toss, but it slides back down.

We even had a little roof leak too. There's about 3 feet of snow on the roof, coupled with 4" of solid ice in the gutters. Alex raked some of it off, which stopped the leak. I suppose that's temporary until the next storm hits. There's already talk of another one next Wednesday.
